COLSC NEWS
The Chain O' Lakes Sportsman's Club "SCTP" team competed today at the Genesee County Sportsman's Club, Flushing, Michigan.
 
COLSC had eight SCTP youths competing in three teams.  All three teams medaled against other teams from Wayne, Genesee and several other Michigan counties.
 
The results are as follows:
 
  • Our Rookie Squad, (5th grade and below) composed of Cody Hutton, Travis Scott and Tanner Scott took a gold medal in Sporting Clays and a silver medal in Skeet.
  • Our Junior Varsity Squad, first year of competition in the Senior Division (9th grade and above), composed of Dominic Holly, Alex Ott and Kyle Frimodig, took a silver medal in Sporting Clays.
  • Our Junior Varsity Squad, first year of competition in the Senior Division (9th grade and above), composed of Zeke Vanas and Billy Bohannan took a bronze medal in Sporting Clays.
 
The success of the Scholastic Clay Target program is directly attributable to everyone who donated money and ammunition:  
Bellaire CC, Brian Rathke, Brian Kroll, John Thumm, Noel Hutton, Trina McDuffie, Jack Bohannan, Rob Scott, Dave Holly, Hank VanLooy, Tim Wolfe, Gary Cramer, Jerry Dunsmore, Stan Zenas,
Jeff Ott, and Bob Bergman. 
...Without these donations SCTP could not have gotten off the ground. 
The youths involved are planning fund raising activities in order to sustain the program but additioanl financial help will still be needed from COLSC Founders and members in order to build a foundation upon which to continue to operate and compete.
 
The entire SCTP team, including coach's Noel Hutton, Trina McDuffie and Don Brown, would like to thank everyone for their encouragement and financial support.

The next competitive meet is on May 10 at the Kent County Conservation League in Grand Rapids.
 
With everyone's support, our youth will continue to earn more medals, and represent the club to the fullest extent possible.
