COLSC began organized, sanctioned USPSA/IPSC action shooting in December 2006. A fast-growing sport, founding member Brian Kroll introduced USPSA to our club. Eldon McPherson and a core group of 10 interested pistol enthusiasts, organized the Antrim Sand Pit Shooters - ASPS in 2006. We continued our run through November 2, 2024.
As an action shooter, you may know our outstanding history of success, bringing in shooters from all over Michigan and Sault Saint Marie, Canada. Pre-covid our attendance soared up around 40 shooters during the busy summer months. Even now, we have had a good average over the last 5 years.
As Founding member, Range Director and action shooter, I am not physically able to continue my role as match director of the Antrim Sand Pit Shooters. We need a new leader. One who has the interest, the desire, and the ability to organize our shoots.
We have an awesome pistol area of 8 bays. I hope that someone with the time and energy will step forward to at least put on informal action shoots using our accumulated props and action targets.
If you can help, or are interested and able to participate and eventually lead our squads, please let the board of Chain O'Lakes Sportsman's Club know. They may be able to work out an attractive package of bennies for you.
Thanks for all your support,
Eldon McPherson, Founder
